The remastered fan-favorite run is officially on air. Digimon: The Best Adventure We Chose (Bokura ga Eranda Best Adventure) premiered Sunday, October 4 on Fuji TV and affiliates at 9:00 AM JST, and it airs weekly on Sundays in Japan. Where our earlier piece covered the announcement, this is the part we actually get to watch: the concrete lineup, the premiere episode, and the brand-new theme songs.
A curated order, not a ranking. The slate comes from a worldwide fan vote that picked the top 11 episodes from each of the first four anime — Digimon Adventure, Adventure 02, Digimon Tamers, and Digimon Frontier — with results announced back on Digimon Day (August 1). But the broadcast order isn't rank order. The very first episode to air was Digimon Adventure episode 1, "Drifting? Adventure Island!", not the fan-voted number one. So think of this as a hand-curated tour through the series, not a countdown.
For Adventure, here's the full top-11 the fans chose:
- Ep 54 — "A New World"
- Ep 21 — Koromon's Great Rampage in Tokyo
- Ep 37 — "Complete Form Total Assault! Shimmering Angewomon"
- Ep 39 — "Two Ultimate Evolutions! Blast the Darkness Away!"
- Ep 13 — "Angemon Awakens!"
- Ep 20 — "Perfect Evolution! MetalGreymon"
- Ep 33 — "Pumpmon and Gotsumon Are Shibuya-Style Digimon"
- Ep 52 — "Holy Knight! HolyAngemon"
- Ep 1 — "Drifting? Adventure Island!"
- Ep 35 — "The Fairy of Odaiba! Lillymon Blooms"
- Ep 45 — "Ultimate Showdown! WarGreymon VS MetalGarurumon"
All episodes air in HD remastered form, and the Digimon Adventure episodes are produced under the supervision of original series director Hiroyuki Kakudō.
New songs, familiar voices. The series brings fresh theme songs: opening "SHAKARIKI!!" and ending "Limitless Dreams." Both are performed by Miyazaki Ayumi and Tanimoto Takayoshi, with lyrics by Yamada Hiroshi, composition by Ōta Michihiko, and arrangement by Tanimoto Takayoshi — a lineup of Digimon music veterans with over 25 years on the franchise. Released on Japan Columbia.
A reason to watch live. Here's the fun gimmick: during broadcast, fan posts on X/Twitter tagged #ベスアド along with an episode title may get read aloud on air — by Hiroaki Hirata for Adventure and Masako Nozawa for Tamers. If you're watching from Japan, that's a real chance to hear your own post on TV.
Missed a Sunday? Episodes stream after broadcast on TVer and FOD, and from October 11 they'll be on FOD Premium, DMM TV, and Hulu. The program window runs roughly from October 4, 2026 to March 28, 2027.
This special is part of the Digimon 30th Anniversary Project (the 30th anniversary lands in 2027), and it's reportedly a lead-in to the next, eleventh TV anime expected that same year. A warm-up for what's coming, and a good excuse to revisit the episodes that made us fall for Digimon in the first place.
