Hold onto your Digivices, Digital Colosseum crew — a brand-new Digimon manga is on the way, and it's hatching sooner than you think. Digimon Eggs (デジモンエッグズ) is officially set to launch in October 2026, and for the first time in a while, English-speaking fans are getting a simultaneous taste.
Where and when to find it
Per early announcements, Digimon Eggs will begin serialization in Shueisha's Saikyo Jump starting with the November issue, released October 3, 2026 in Japan. The manga is also reportedly coming to MANGA Plus as an English simulpub on October 2, 2026 — a day earlier in many regions due to timezones — meaning the usual wait-and-wonder period is off the table. That simultaneous release is a great sign for the franchise's global push.
Who's making it
The mangaka behind the eggs is Minato Ayumu, a familiar name to Digimon manga readers. Ayumu previously handled the Digimon Paradox serialization (Digimon Comic, 2024–2025) and the one-shot Digimon Believers (Saikyo Jump, 2025). That one-shot in particular turned heads for telling a story that felt unlike the usual Digimon fare, so expectations for a full ongoing series are understandably high.
What it's about (so far)
Official plot details are still thin — this is very much an "early previews" situation — but per Wikimon, the story follows protagonist Rindo Izumo, who is drawn into a great destiny after a mysterious encounter with a Digimon. The early promo art reportedly shows a large single eye peeking out from inside an egg, while Izumo's right arm glows with a digital-like light of uncertain power. Whether that arm-light is a blessing, a curse, or a full-on evolution trigger is anyone's guess — and honestly, that mystery is half the fun.
One fair warning
Please keep in mind this is unofficial fan coverage. We're reporting from Wikimon entries, announcements, and fan-forum roundups (shoutout to With the Will), and since the series hasn't dropped a single chapter yet, a lot can shift between now and the premiere. No official word yet on which Digimon characters might appear, and we won't speculate on creature names — you'll get those from us the moment they're confirmed.
For now, mark your calendars for October 2–3. Between the mystery egg, the glowing arm, and a creator on a mission, Digimon Eggs is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing Digimon manga debuts in years. We'll keep an eye on it — pun very much intended.
