The Digimon Card Game's Royal Knights booster Chivalrous XIII (EX-13) only just reached shelves on October 2, but Bandai has already shown off what comes next — and the through-line for the next stretch of sets is the X Antibody, a long-running piece of Digimon lore that lets creatures evolve past their normal limits.
Ignition of X (BT-27) — December 2026. The next main booster hands the X Antibody to the royal elite. The headline idea: the Royal Knights introduced in EX-13 gain X Antibody forms, letting you Digivolve into those powered-up states while firing off strong Options. King Drasil is reported to appear, and the set keeps reaching back to recent series — the Chiropmon deck from Digimon Beatbreak and the Gaogamon deck from Digimon Data Squad both gain new "Dual Cards" support. The official product listing pegs the set for December 2026; fan pre-order pages widely list a December 5 Japan / December 11 US release.
Malevolent VII (EX-14) — January 2027. After the Knights, the extra-booster spotlight swings the other way: the Seven Great Demon Lords. Fan favourites Beelzemon and Lilithmon headline a set where all seven Demon Lords "descend with even greater power." Retailer listings add that it also strengthens the Sakuyamon deck from Starter Deck 22 and the Shambala deck from EX-12, with Enmamon reportedly making its card-game debut. The set is widely listed for a late-January release.
Beyond: Abyss of X (BT-28) and the Premium Battle Sets. An early look at the next flagship booster, Abyss of X (BT-28), keeps the X Antibody theme rolling into early 2027 — featuring Omnimon, Magnamon and Gallantmon in X Antibody forms, plus more Royal Knight, Demon Lord and recent-deck support. For collectors, Bandai also revealed two Premium Battle Sets: PB-27 Ver. Royal Knights and PB-28 Ver. Seven Great Demon Lords, each bundling cards, card sleeves, a storage box and a themed memory gauge built to slot straight into EX-13 and EX-14 decks. Pre-orders are expected to open soon through Premium Bandai.
What it means. Turning the X Antibody into a two-booster arc — plus a Demon Lords counterpoint — is a clear signal of where the game is heading through winter and into the new year. For deck-builders that is a genuinely generous stretch: two main boosters, one extra booster, a pair of premium boxes and fresh Alysion-themed starter decks (ST-25 Rubeusdramon and ST-26 Yukinamon) pairing up with BT-27.
