Bandai has just opened the door on a new collector's piece for the Digimon Card Game: the Premium Battle Set Ver. Seven Great Demon Lords [PB-28]. Announced alongside a matching Royal Knights [PB-27] set, it gathers the franchise's most feared villain group into a single premium box. If you love the dark side of the Digital World, this one is worth a look.
The full roster, twice over
True to its name, the set rounds up all Seven Great Demon Lords — Lucemon (Falldown/Chaos Mode), Beelzebumon, Lilithmon, Demon, Barbamon, Belphemon (Rage Mode), and Leviamon. Joining them is the gatekeeper card "Gate of Deadly Sins" and Ogudomon, the towering fusion said to form when the Seven unite. Every card comes twice, and they carry fresh face-off style battle artwork rather than reprints of existing poses.
It is a table of some of Digimon's heaviest hitters: Lucemon is the fallen angel at the franchise's core, while Beelzebumon and Lilithmon are fan favorites who have gone on to star in their own stories. For newcomers, this is essentially a greatest-hits card of villainy.
Not just cards
Beyond the parallels, PB-28 is an accessory kit. In the box you get 60 card sleeves, a foldable rubber memory gauge for tracking battle effects, and a half-size storage box to keep the whole set tidy. It is built for display and play in equal measure.
Price and availability
Pricing differs by region:
- Japan (Premium Bandai): 5,500 yen (tax incl.), expected shipment March 2027.
- US / international: $55, pre-orders close November 16, shipping in June 2027.
Prices are manufacturer's MSRP and could shift, so check your local store or Premium Bandai at order time. The companion Royal Knights [PB-27] set runs 6,600 yen / $66 and releases on the same schedule, if your budget can stretch to both halves of that angel-versus-demon pairing.
Worth it?
As with most Premium Bandai sets — and the fan forums have been quick to note this — value is in the eye of the collector. The double cards and themed extras make it a strong centerpiece for anyone who already plays or collects the Seven Great Demon Lords, and the art is a genuine upgrade over the base-game versions. If you are after raw competitive value, a standard booster may serve you better; but as a tribute to Digimon's most iconic villains, PB-28 delivers a lot of demonic charm.
